Music Club

About the Club

The Music Club (HICAS MUSIC BAND) was started in the year 2017. The members of the club are from various departments of the college. The club has been functioning actively to encourage the students' talent in performing art, particularly in an orchestra, practicing and performing for artistic expression, and participating the various intercollegiate events. Meetings are held regularly to inform about the activities.

Objective

To express the skills in fine art, both vocal and instrumental, and to perform the classical, folk, and popular music forms in cultural events.

Activities

♦  The Womens Day celebration was coducted in the college campus on Thursday, March 08, 2018. The HICAS MUSIC BAND performed selected songs to praise the role of women in family and society.

♦  The event interaction with folk artist Mr. George was organized on Monday, March 04, 2019. In this event, the importance of folk art was explained by the chief guest.

♦  The student members of Hicas Music Band of Hindusthan college of arts and science participated in the intercollegiate cultural program held at SNS College  of Technology Coimbatore on March 1st, 2019.

♦  World Music Day was celebrated on June 21, 2019, in the campus lawn.

♦  The World Radio Day was organized by Hicas Music Band on Saturday, February 13,2021 in outdoor, college campus. The day was highlighted with the radio Jackies voices like KS Raja, Abdul Hameed, Mayilvaaganan, Lakshmi Narayana, Natesan Bala etc.
