About Department

PG & Research Department of Computer Science has started its functioning from the Academic Year 1998-99 with one Under Graduation BSc (Computer Science) and post graduationMsc(Computer Science) in the academic year 2001. It is been affiliated to Bharathiar University with 180 seats every Academic year for BSc (Computer Science) and 60 Seats for Msc(Computer Science). The Department is also offering the research programmes M.Phil in part-time and full-time Course from 2005 onwards. The department has produced University Ranks and many of the candidate with Distinction.

Courses Description

Computer science degrees deal with the theoretical foundations of information and computation, taking a scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications.A category of technologies that use cognitive computing, natural language processing, and machine learning to enable people and machines to interact more naturally to extend and magnify human expertise and cognition.. The study of computer science involves systematically studying methodical processes (such as algorithms) in order to aid the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to information.

To provide an excellent education in all computers related fields. By imparting computer education and generating pioneering acquaintance to the students for global competence and excellence in quality.the principles of intelligence with the hope that this will lead to better comprehension of the mind and of learning and to develop intelligent devices.
