AIM
People today, especially the young people, are concerned about the environment. The Eco Club is a means by which students and youth can organize themselves to learn more about this issue, and also take action to improve their immediate environment.
OBJECTIVES
♦ To train and produce qualified students who are more creative and innovative oriented personnel in Agricultural and Environmental areas
♦ To create a clean and green consciousness among students
♦ To provide technical consultancy and advisory in Agriculture and natural resources management and conservation including land, water and forestry to all Agricultural and Environmental development Institution
♦ To promote job creation opportunities and skills by providing trainings and seminars for the students
♦ To educate the students about the immediate environment
♦ To impart knowledge on concepts of Ecosystem and involve young learners to preserve environment
FUNCTIONS
♦ Empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects
♦ Motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees.
♦ Promote ethos of conservation of water by optimizing the use of water.
♦ Organize tree plantation programmes, awareness programmes such as quiz, essay, painting competitions, rallies, etc. regarding various environmental issues and educate students about re-use of waste material & preparation of products out of waste.
