About EDC
Due to rising unemployment problem and lack of job security, self-employment becomes the preferred choice among the young minds. These young minds want to get into a start-up business and build career opportunities for themselves. Hindusthan College of Arts and Science have established the Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC) to provide an opportunity for the young minds to build their own career. The EDC plans and organizes number of events – seminars, symposiums and conferences for the development of the students. Through EDC motivates and supports the students with innovative and creative ideas to initiate a start-up.
Vision
To provide a platform for the participants to explore their entrepreneurial skill and support them to become a successful entrepreneur to contribute to the development of the country.
Mission
The mission of the entrepreneur development cell is to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students and provide them the necessary training to become a successful entrepreneur.
Objectives
♦ To create the entrepreneurial awareness among students.
♦ To organize interactive programs that pave the way to become an entrepreneur.
♦ To conduct coaching and training programmes by alumni and faculty members.
♦ To provide guidance to the students in starting a start up.
♦ To invite the entrepreneurs at frequent intervals fortnightly to engage them in pep talk with the student community with an interactive session. (Industry Institute Interaction).
♦ To identify and nurture the potential students and to make their ideas into action by way of proper counseling.
