About the Lions Club International
Lions Clubs International, a service membership organization of over 1.4 million members worldwide (as of April 2015), was founded in Evansville, Indiana on 24 October 1916 by Dr. William Perry Woods and subsequently evolved as an international service organization under the guidance and supervision of its Secretary, Melvin Jones. The Lions motto is "We Serve." Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. The LIONS acronym also stands for Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation’s Safety. The Lions Club of Coimbatore Hindusthan was started in the year 2016.

Mission
To empower the volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions club of Coimbatore Hindusthan.
Objectives of the Club
♦ To organize, charter and supervise service clubs.
♦ To coordinate the activities and standardize the administration of Lions club of Coimbatore Hindusthan.
♦ To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the student of the campus.
♦ To promote the principles of good government and good citizenship.
♦ To undertake an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.
♦ To unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.
♦ To provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.
♦ To encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

Activities
♦ The Lions Club of Hindusthan organized Blood Donation Camp in college premises on 19th October 2016. The club was inaugurated by PMJF Lion V. R. Kanna Kumar, District Coordinator, Leaders Forum and PMJF Lion Mylsamy and PMJF Lion Rama Subramanian, Cabinet Secretary from Lions Clubs International.
♦ The Lions Club of Hindusthan celebrated the Centennial Celebrations in college premises on 22ndJanuary 2018.
♦ LIONS CLUB Of Hindusthan is Organized A Blood Donation Camp in association with Shanthi Social Services Hospital. 60 Units Of Blood Donated By Our College Students. The Blood Donation Camp Was Successfully Done On 19.06.2018.
♦ Lions Club Of Hindusthan has Organized “ A Drug Abuse Seminar “ association with Lions Club Of Hindusthan. 200 Students are Participated In Drug Abuse And Cancer Awareness Program. The Chief Guest From Ekam Foundation, Rntcp, Children Alcoholics To Show Their Power point And Videos Against Of Drug Abuse .The Drug and Cancer Awareness Seminar Was Successfully done on 05.09.2018.
♦ The Lions Club of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore organized anClub Installation– Selection of Office Bearers for the academic year 2019-2020 in the College premises.
♦ Lions club and youth red cross organizes a webinar on "impact of zoom fatigue and digital eye strain-care your eyes" on 06.11.2020.
