Placement Training


The students are trained to attain placement through a variety of programmes run by the HICAS CR & Training Department such as:

♦ Industry to Institute Programmes – Corporate leaders from leading industries are invited regularly to interact with students.

♦ Various Training Programmes are organized to train the students in the areas of Aptitude, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Verbal through the Reputed External Training Institutions.

♦ Technical training programmes are being conducted by Technical experts like CSS Corp, CTS, ZOHO, etc.,

♦ Language learning programmes to train students in developing their communication skills and foreign language skills such as French.

♦ Training through Mock Interviews for students to perform well in the campus interviews as per the expectations of the corporate sectors.

On-campus placement drive: This is the primary objective behind setting up a placement cell. The HICAS CR at HINDUSTHAN COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, has created an exceptional record by placing 90% of its students for last five years. Companies like ZOHO, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, L&T, ZIFO & more than 100+ prime recruiters come to HICAS every year. The HICAS CR has been responsible for making a strategic alliance with a MNC & LOGISTICS companies and has assisted thousands of students in bagging a befitting job offer.


Career Counseling: Resource persons at the Training and HICAS Corporate Relations department in colleges provide required guidance and priming while choosing for choice based career options like planning for entrepreneurship, enrolling for higher studies, or procuring a placement offer.


Workshops: Training and Placement cells organize various short-term training, workshops, and symposiums in sync with the current industry trends. Students are oriented and trained to develop the industry aligned skill set which helps them map the industry-relevant hiring criteria.


Internships and Industry Visits: Placement cells bring about experiential learning by organizing internships and regular industry visits. Students understand challenges of a company and the real-life working functions.

Mock Interviews: A mock interview helps you learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve your communication skills, and reduce your stress before an actual job interview. During a mock interview, the interviewer may use a semi-structured interview format rather than asking a formal list of questions.


The placement body organizes several mock interview drives so that the aspirants get attuned to the formal professional code of conduct and are prepared before the D-day. Several drills on commonly asked questions, resume building, interview-appropriate dress code and behaviour, time management etc. help students walk confidently towards their final goal.
