About the Department

The department was established in the year 2021 with Under Graduate Program. There are Six qualified and experienced faculty members and one Laboratory Assistant, Smart class rooms with Audio Visual Aids are available for effective learning. A well-equipped laboratory with updated bank of psychological tests and measurement tools are available for the benefit of students. Learning Outcome Based Curriculum Framework (LOCF) is followed for the Postgraduate and Undergraduate education is psychology.

Using an all-inclusive approach, our Postgraduate and Undergraduate Psychology Programme equips students with critical thinking skills, innovative research practices to build a strong professional and ethical foundation to become leaders in the field of understanding human behavior and thought process to contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities.

Mission

Providing students with career options in a wide variety of fields with in psychology, emphasizing specialized training in psychology through understanding themselves and other, attaining a basic knowledge of psychometric assessments and therapeutic principles.

Programme Description

Postgraduate programme in Applied Psychology equips the students with a deep understanding of human behavior and thought process, preparing to become a leader in the field of Psychology and its allied subjects. The PG programme follows a semester system, typically four semesters spread across two years. In all the four semesters’ students can delve deeper into specific areas of applied psychology, such as:

  • Clinical Psychology

  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  • Counselling Psychology

  • Research methods and Psychometrics
