The PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, under the scheme of DBT STAR COLLEGE organized INTERNATIONAL OZONE DAY 2021, on 16th September 2021. On this occasion,  E- QUIZ programme and MEGA ART depicting the concept of “ECOCENTRIC AND EGOCENTRIC” was orchestrated in the open auditorium stage. The Programme was initiated with the blessings of Smt. Sarasuwathy Khannaiyann, Managing Trustee and Dr. Priya Satishprabu, Executive Trustee and Secretary, Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust, Coimbatore and the un-stinted support was given by Dr. A. Ponnusamy, Principal, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science. Dr. G. Rajalakshmi, Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology and faculty team of Biotechnology Department. Around 300 students from the Department of Biotechnology participated in this event. Through this programme students were made aware of the harmful effects of ozone layer depletion.
