Department of computer science with cognitive systems is introduced since 2020. The curriculum is powered by Tata consultancy services with 50:50 theory practical ratio. Department follows the HIDRO (HICAS Drone and Robotics Innovation Center) and ThinkEthic practices. Department conducted various events including webinar, FDP, guest lecture, and boot camp training programs for students. Our students received prizes in various competitions, faculty members and many of our students received “Most Voted Invention Award”, Gold Medals, Silver Medals, Bronze Medals etc for product prototype exhibit in iNVENTX Multimedia University. The student association Hitron, inculcates curricular and co-curricular aspects among students. Our students have been actively participating in various international, national conferences, workshops, extracurricular events and won various awards and rewards. Department promotes Science and Technology through Regional Languages, Books, Lab Manuals and Youtube Channel. Department signed MoU with Tata Consultancy Services for industry-academia interface. Department has nine well qualified and TCS trained faculty members. Dr.S. Sasikala, Head of the Department recognized as Drone pilot by DGCA, Government of India – UAV and Drone Technology is included in curriculum as hands on training. Faculty members published many papers in international conference, journals, has 10 books and 5 patents and granted 1 copyright. Faculty members act as resource person in many reputed programs at various institutions. Placements are highly commendable and our recruiters are ZOHO, TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Zappy works, Sutherland etc in various roles with 8.6 LPA package in Zoho. Our Alumni students are persuing higher education in various International Universities.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Cognitive Systems is a three years program spanning six semesters. The curriculum is powered by Tata consultancy services with 50:50 theory practical ratio. Cognitive systems have substituted human competencies in diverse areas. Cognitive systems are technical systems capable of independently solving and developing strategies for human tasks. To accomplish this, these systems are equipped with cognitive capabilities for context comprehension, interaction, adaptation and learning. Cognitive systems instils the IT Infrastructure management, Devops, Operating System installation and network implementation skills. Cognitive systems, which are already an indispensable element in many areas today, will have a major influence on growing numbers of industries and economic sectors in the future. This course is designed meticulously to fine tune graduate research attributes and ITES deployment skills among the students. It pave the way for pursue higher education or to get expertise in domain for employment. It also provides the scope for startup innovations in the domain.
I am grateful to the faculty members and placement officers who provided me with unwavering support and guidance throughout my academic journey. Our Hindusthan certainly ensured my personal growth and I was able to get placed in Ellucian with a salary of 8.6 LPA. I was extremely benefitted with the seamless effort of the Department of Computer Science with Cognitive Systems and Placement Cell which provided a picture-perfect training throughout my three years of course.
