About the Department

Costume Design and Fashion programme is designed for students with a passion for creative innovation. The programme is skill oriented with multi-disciplinary courses. The potential of the programme lies in the placement opportunities in Branding Enterprises, Apparel Export houses, Cinemas and Fashion Service Industries. Laboratories like drafting, construction, printing, dyeing, textile testing and draping are well equipped with excellent infrastructure. Exposures are given to the students through industrial visit, internships, Workshops, hands-on training programs, value added courses and Fashion events.The department has been performing exceedingly well in Academics and has produced successful Entrepreneurs at Coimbatore, Tirupur ,Chennai Kerala and International level as well. Many MOU has been signed with reputed Institutions and organisations like Avinashilingam University, Khadi and Sitra Coimbatore. The Alumni are placed in highly reputed corporates like FAB INDIA,Reliance, Lifestyle ,Westside ,Chennai Silks, Pothys, Eastman exports and International brands like Louis Philippe, Calvin Klein ,Nike as well. The department take the pride in producing many rank holders, gold medalist, and title winners in prestigious shows and National level. The department has a dedicated and hardworking faculties.
