The Department of Electronics and Communication Systems was established in the year 2017. It offers technology-oriented courses aimed at developing skilled manpower in strategic areas aligned with evolving industrial expectations. The department covers a wide spectrum of domains including Electronic Circuits, Signal Processing, Communication Technology, Biomedical Instrumentation, and applied areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Programme Description

B.Sc Electronics and Communication Systems is a professional program which needs to develop a specialized skill set among the graduates to cater the need of industries. In latest years, Electronics has made extraordinary growth in terms of new technologies, new ideas and principles. The research organizations and industries that work in this frontier area are in need of highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower. This manpower can be available only with flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries. The key areas of study within subject area of Electronics and Communication Systems comprise: Semiconductor Devices, analog and digital circuit design, Microprocessors & Micro controller systems, Communication techniques, IoT and computation techniques for Electronics, computer coding/programming in Python and high level languages etc.

Firstly I would like to thank the college for giving us an opportunity to attend placements of numerous companies and helping us in getting placed in my dream job as I have always wanted to be in this industry. I realize after going through more than ten interviews and campus placement sessions how tough the industry situation is, yet our knowledge base gained at HICAS ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT is really priceless. To most of the senior managers of the companies, it was a surprise to hear our answers from us in so much detail. In addition to all the coaching and mentoring, the final semester “LIVE PROJECTS” really helped me gain confidence and an insight into how the real time industry works.
